Brotherhood
Above all else, Lambda Chi Alpha is a brotherhood, we are a family. It
brings young men together through a common experience to share their
college years together, creating life long memories. For our members 3400 E. Deerfield is more than a building, it’s our home. The values that make a good brother are those that make a good
man, and are the same values that will eventually make a good
husband and father. Lambda Chi Alpha is committed to fostering
personal growth and development through its traditions, principles
and ideals.
Equality
Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to abolish the traditional
pledge system to adopt the associate member program. Associate Members
have full and equal rights in the chapter, including the right to vote
on all matters of the fraternity, attend all meetings and events, except
those pertaining to the ritual, wear letters and regalia of the
fraternity and hold office. Our crest bears the motto “Vir Quisque Vir”
or “Every Man a Man” we hold ourselves to this high standard and treat
everyone with dignity and respect.
Opportunity
As a member of Lambda Chi Alpha you will have the opportunity to
develop life long friendships, hone your leadership skills, learn
practical business skills and gain academic support throughout you
college career. Not to mention that you will be joining over 250,000
others who have come before you.
Leadership
Not all skills can be developed in a classroom. Lambda Chi Alpha
excels at offering an environment where leadership skills can be
perfected. With 12 officer positions on the High Zeta, several standing and
ad-hoc committees, as well as delegate positions to the General
Assembly, Lambda Chi Alpha provides ample opportunities to develop
leadership skills.
Philanthropy
Lambda Chi Alpha participates in a number of philanthropic
efforts, offering plenty of individual and chapter service
opportunities. Our major outreach effort is the North American Food Drive, which
raises several thousand pounds of food annually to benefit
local shelters and food pantries.
Social Events
Many of the highlights of the Lambda Chi Alpha experience are
social events, which give the chance to have fun, relax, and
socialize with others both within and beyond the Greek system.
Pride
Lambda Chi Alpha is the most prestigious organization on the campus of Central Michigan University. Walking around campus with three simple
letters on your chest will bring to you a sense of pride unlike any
other. Ask around, you’ll find no one contributes more to student life
at CMU than we do.
