Recruitment is the process by which Fraternities increase their membership. While the membership process is selective, all men at Central Michigan University are encouraged to attend one or all of Lambda Chi Alpha's recruitment events.
While recruitment is often limited to "Rush Week," Lambda Chi Alpha takes a different approach. We want to get to know you. We still have a "Rush Week," but we are always on the watch for potential new brothers.
During your recruitment with Lambda Chi Alpha, you will have fun and you will get to know all of the brothers. That is because we take our brotherhood very seriously. We all want to get to know you and we want you to get to know us. That way, you will know if Lambda Chi Alpha is the right fit for you, and we will know if you are the right fit for Lambda Chi Alpha.
Additionally, during your recruitment period, you will learn about the Associate Membership program with Lambda Chi Alpha. As seen in other parts of the web site, Lambda Chi Alpha does not have a pledge program and Lambda Chi Alpha does not haze. We believe that these ideals will foster a true spirit of brotherhood, and create a much stronger, united chapter. This feeds into our saying, "Don't pledge us, join us."
