FAQ

A: The process of becoming a member of Lambda Chi Alpha begins with getting the know the brothers.  This can begin during a class, at a social event, or more typically, during recruitment week which occurs once every semester.  See the "Recruitment" and "Calendar of Events" links on the left or "Contact Us" for more information.

A: None.  You will not be hazed at all as an Associate or Active member of Lambda Chi Alpha.

A: By joining a Fraternity, you are not "paying for your friends."  You wouldn't consider paying cover charge to get into a bar, "paying for your friends."  You wouldn't consider paying your share of a hotel room or an intramural team, "paying for your friends."  Similarly, although there are dues that are required to be a member, these dues are to allow the Fraternity to put on events and to pay for intramural sports, formals, some clothes, and philanthropic events.

A: Dues change slightly from year to year, depending on the chapter's budget and insurance rates.  They also change from your Associate Member semester to Active Member semesters due to different fees.  To get an exact figure, ask at a recruitment event.

A: The chapter meets once a week, and there are periodic committee meetings throughout the semester.  Depending on how involved you want to be, the amount of meeting time will vary.

A: You already asked this once, but we will answer it again.  None.  You will not be hazed at all as an Associate or Active member of Lambda Chi Alpha.
